What can I say... what an honor and a pleasure to host such an amazing talented duo in my house!!!
They arrived on June 5th on their way to the Mural Festival and their first North American Exhibit at Galerie C.O.A in Montreal.
It was a long week before they were able to head to Canada, but they kept on working, smiling and always saying how much they enjoyed being in North America!!
Their hard work and persistency was showcased in every mural and piece of art they produced!! Even though their mural in Montreal was extremely difficult to get to (it was by the glass ceiling of a building with no lift access...), even though they had to fly directly to Eugene for another project without much time to rest or prepare themselves for the next mural, they kept on going with so much grace and happiness!!!
Their murals were full of passion, their art work full of color, translating into strong and powerful pieces, showcasing what Brazilian street art can offer!!!
In Eugene they kicked of the project 20X21 EUG that promise to be amazing, displaying a collection of murals done by 20 international artists by the year 2021.
Back in Maryland they worked hard to finish their art pice for their 20X21 EUG print that will be launched soon and to paint a mural in Washington DC. Three days was all the time they had to plan and paint their last mural in North america and again they shown what they are made of... art and passion!!!
The last mural was painted in an abandoned building in the eclectic and cool neighborhood of Petworth in Washington DC. What a pleasure it was to spend those 3 long days with Robezio and Tereza, watching their creativity and talent come to live.
A very SPECIAL thanks to all, to every single person involved in all these amazing projects!!! Without any of you this great experience would have not be possible!!
Everyone from the Mural Festival, Jean-Pascal Fournier from Galerie C.O.A in Montreal. Paul Godin, Isaac Marques and everyone involved with the 20X21 EUG Project. Acidum's Brazilian friends that helped them through their short stay in NYC. Thomas Pipkin, Jeff Huntington, Drew Schneider and the great Petworth community.... THANK YOU!!!!!
Should not forget, off course, my family the support and patience during these long days away from home!! Love you all to the moon and back!!
